The following is a list of a few possible uses for tool-level AGI, some of which are mentioned on the other pages. This is just for ease of access.
Text and speech recognition; automated language translation
Computer vision: object tracking and recognition
Personal assistants
Home automation:
Robotic vacuum cleaners
Voice control for internet-of-things appliances, electronics, devices, lights, and thermostats
Security systems and locks
Robotics and vehicle control:
Autopilots
Locomotion control for legged machines (e.g. bipeds, quadrupeds)
Cybersecurity and anti-virus
Many of the use cases are things currently being done by artificial narrow intelligence. AGI allows for less training, and the ability to navigate edge cases that can cause artificial narrow intelligence to fail.
However, the definition of tool-level AGI allows for more generalized applications. As long as the AGI is incapable of being subjected to physical or emotional pain due to its work, it qualifies as tool-level. This means that the uses can extend to almost every position in the work force.
